The hunger challenge was great. I'm still surprised at how well the youth handled the 24 hours without food. Probably better than the adults. Kids are so resilient. Toward the end of the 24 hours -- my energy sapped. I felt it most in my thinking -- as in I stopped after awhile. Which is probably a good thing -- I think it's easy for us "bleeding heart liberals" to over think things. It was really powerful just to "be" with my hunger.
The classes I taught went really well. I am just as proud of the adults who opened up to everyone and became vulnerable with their bodies. They all got down on the floor to do yoga when I gave them the option to stay in their chairs. When others allow themselves to become vulnerable -- that's when the spiritual energy really gets going. I felt it in the room. We shared it with each other and it was a wonderful experience.
